Lanes Cars of Special Interest

Earlier this year we advertised a 1965 Lotus Cortina Mk1 Air Flow (https://lanescars.co.uk/lotus-cortina-for-sale-at-lanes-cars-e-type-specialistst/) that we had researched before offering it to market, however, our understanding of this particular vehicle was not sufficient and we decided to take the vehicle off sale whilst we further researched this vehicle which indeed is a very rare example of the marque.

Andy Morrell from the Lotus Cortina Register has inspected and confirmed that it is an original Lotus Cortina MK1 and has placed value in excess of our advertised price.

The previous owner has invested many thousands of pounds in this Lotus Cortina which has covered less than 200 miles since its rebuild which has its the correct original EP – Special Equipment Engine that was available as an option when new, Lotus factory original ID tags and the red painted Lotus 3A marking still exists on the rear parcel shelf under its trim, which was first registered on the 30th of June 1965 to  its first owner Jones Brothers Garage in Llanwry near to Betws-y-coed Wales.

Lanes Cars are now looking now forward to 2019 with all the Classic Car Show stands that we will be displaying our Classic and Electric Cars in the first six months of the year such as London Classic, Essen in Germany and Techo Show in Stuttgart.

Merry Christmas from all at Lanes Cars
