Jaguar E Type S2 4.2 Roadster – A Rebuild Project by Lanes Cars

This E Type Jaguar S2 4.2 Roadster was purchased from ourselves and was originally Finished in Black with a Biscuit Interior and Beige Hood.

Whilst the Exterior colour is finished in Signal Red the underside of the bonnet and engine frames are still finished in Black.

Originally supplied to the USA in 1970 it has been in the UK for the last 20 years and in that time has been converted to RHD and also fitted with 3 SU Carburetors.

This E Type will now be stripped back to a bare shell and rebuild to a clients choice of colour combination including the following main upgrades, 5 Speed Gearbox, Power Steering, Competition Chrome Wire Wheels, Gas Flowed Cylinder Head and Fuel Injection System.

This is a very rare 1953 Sunbeam-Talbot 90 Mk IIA Convertible and was the one driven by Peter Davidson who played the part of Tristan Farnon in the hit BBC show All Creatures Great and Small.

We believe that there is only 4 surviving example’s of this model now left in existence and is regarded as one of the rarest of the Sunbeam Talbots.

Attractively finished in light metallic blue with dark blue mohair soft top which is excellence condition as is the beige interior trim and was last used on a weekly bases buy its last owner and is a pleasure to drive as it has a higher compression engine and enlarged braking on this model.

This original RHD Jaguar E Type 4.2 FHC finished in Old English White with Red Trim is an older rebuild.

Although we cannot warrant the mileage of 54,000miles all the documentation within the vehicles large history file confirms it to be correct.

This E Type Jaguar S2 4.2 Roadster was originally Finished Opelensent Siver Blue with Navy French Blue .

Originally supplied new in the UK in 1969 and was exported to the USA in the late 1970′s, then it was brought back to Southern Irleand in 1990 where it has been in storage every since.

It is our intention to strip this E Type back to a bare shell and rebuild to a clients choice of colour combination with completion in June 2012 please contact us for further details.

Our client has commissioned us to under take the refurbishment of this E Type Jaguar which has numerous oil leaks and at times when under acceleration had a tendency to jump out of 3rd gear including respraying the exterior of this vehicle and to paying especial attention to the underside of the bonnet and engine frames to complete to show standard.

Mercedes Benz 280SE Cabriolet an original RHD example is one of our clients vehicles from his collection which we have been commissioned to undertaking a colour change to Silver which requires us to completely strip this Mercedes Benz to a bare shell, whilst all the running gear is removed we will rebuild the engine, gear box and refurbish the rear differential. The interior and chrome work will also be refurbished to the highest standard.
